FISHING:
30SWI32-7001, 13.1. Anglers must possess a valid state fishing license and all applicable federal and state fishing stamps while fishing on VAFB.

A Vandenberg Fishing Permit will be required to fish the coast and inland waters. The Use Fee at this time is FREE. There will be a fee to cover maps, Outdoor Locator Cards, and other administrative costs when the new requirement is added to the Space Wing Instructions. This new requirement will help us to locate persons in cases of emergency, contingency, and mission operations. Fishermen will be required to use the Vandenberg iSportsman Web-service to Check-in and Check-out of Fishing Zones.

2024 Vandenberg Deer Season
A Zone Archery begins 13 July ends 4 August
A Zone General begins 10 August ends 22 September
G11 Vandenberg Either Sex Hunt begins 26 August ends 1 October.
85 tags will be avalable for sale on 2 August at the Camp Pendleton MCX and the Vandenberg Base Exchange. EITHER SEX

5. Deer/pig Hunters must wear orange vest or orange outer garment and orange hat or cap. Archery hunters checked-in to an archery area are exempt. orange broken up by camouflage is acceptable.
6. Hunters must display a completed Outdoor Located Card in their vehicle before going to hunt. It must be placed in a position so it can be easily seen through the vehicle windshield from outside of the vehicle, e.g., the vehicle dashboard or affixed to the sun-visor.
